- Includes engine transmissions and rear axles weighing more than 18,000 lbs
What constitutes a “lemon” under the Texas Lemon Law?
- Two attempts to repair a serious or life-threatening* defect OR
- Four attempts to repair the vehicle OR
- 30 calendar days out of service
The Texas Lemon Law is valid for the following:
- The first of the express warranty period or 1 year
What to do if you suspect you have a lemon in Texas:
- Immediately draft a letter to the manufacturer of your automobile informing them of the defects you are experiencing. It is a good idea to send this letter via certified mail.
